The Gift You Could Never Earn
The most freeing sentence in the Bible is also the most offending: you cannot earn it. You receive it.
"for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God," - Ephesians 2:8
The Gift
"By grace you have been saved through faith… not a result of works, so that no one may boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Why Grace Matters
A wage is owed; a gift is received. Grace means the door is open to the worst of us.
The New Life
We are His workmanship, created for good works that flow from grace, not earn it.
A Prayer
Lord, I stop trying to earn what You already finished. I receive Your grace. Amen.
